- SPP Version 4.3 Release
Singularity the leading business process agility software vendor, today released new support for business data management and deeper integration out-of-the-box with Microsoft SharePoint, including SharePoint Online.
The company announced enhanced support for clients who operate dynamic business processes and require their people to have data, documents and other artefacts immediately to hand as they process insurance claims, handle customer complaints, or work on other knowledge-intensive processes. Features showcased at the product launch included:
Data Entity Management: Singularity Process Platform now manages your data for you, not just your business processes and related documents. With this new support for data management, you can store detailed data entity definitions (e.g. all the data you require in an “Insurance Claim”) and also store instances of those data entities (e.g. all the details of the particular insurance claim “Jim Smith Claim #2”). No more need to build your own databases to store business data related to processes – Singularity takes care of it. What's more, you don't need technical skill to design and manage your data – with Singularity's “zero-code” environment non-IT people can design and execute processes from scratch. It's now easy to define an entity definition, use entities as input data to processes and to store output data from processes.
Case Management in the Cloud: Singularity now provides deeper two-way out-of-the-box integration between Singularity Process Platform and Microsoft SharePoint, including rich orchestration with SharePoint Online so you can manage your documents in the Cloud. If you deal with insurance claims, customer complaints, or other dynamic business processes where access to documents in a Microsoft environment is an essential part of your processing, then Singularity's leadership in case management, already recognised by Gartner and others, and is now even stronger.
Enhanced Report Building Capabilities: the innovative Singularity Report Builder has been further enhanced to include new access controls to improve security, more control and flexibility in report publication, and full report versioning. For more information, please contact Singularity.
- eB
for Sharepoint
eB
for SharePoint has been enhanced in
14.6.1 to include support for Oracle
as well as continued support for SQL.
Objects can be physically stored in
the SharePoint libraries, in multiple
SharePoint sites, moved to the eB repository
or archived to secondary storage. eB
for SharePoint registered documents
can also be published to other SharePoint
sites.
Existing sites can be registered with
eB for SharePoint for corporate visibility
and a SharePoint site architect or administrator
can establish site provisioning rules
for new sites that are compliant with
established information governance policy.
Registered sites are treated like any
other objects in eB—they are classified,
have unique attributes, and are associated
with a site disposition/retention policy.
eB for SharePoint can automatically
classify and assign attributes to a
document or empower end-users to manually
register (identify and classify) the
document directly from the SharePoint
user interface.
In SharePoint users may browse other
eB registered information assets where
they have been granted the proper permission
levels.
Through the eB for SharePoint administrator‘s
dashboard, an administrator can produce
a variety of reports that show all discovered
sites, registered and unregistered sites,
as well as registered documents and
their status.

can be provided to tenants (i.e. multiple
companies) across the internet.
We have also focused on enhancing our
Business Rules capabilities. What we
have actually done in this release is

- End On Life eB V12
On December 31 2008 the eB V12 software suite will reach end-of-life whereby source code will be archived. Support will be provided on a best effort basis. This end-of-life notice correlates with your maintenance agreement; code changes and software updates to V12.x have not been available for several years.
eB version 14 has been available since 2004 and is the version we kept current with new releases of Windows and other related software. Several workarounds have been provided for keeping eB version 12 up to date as well, but that is no longer possible due to the outdated architecture of eB version 12.
The current version of eB is V14.5.1 and the software upgrade is already included free as part of your maintenance. Please contact support@enterpriseinformatics.com or your reseller to schedule an upgrade.
